It is a modern school for boys that follows its traditions started by the first headmaster Bruce Macdonald. He was the first director of a school for boys who decided to recruit a female tutor. In 1905, this was unheard of. However, Bruce believed that education and upbringing should be comprehensive. These school traditions are preserved: the school has a cadet corps with all its attributes, strong and intensive academic programmes, business courses, 71 teams competing in 22 kinds of sports, leadership development courses, and various art subjects. This is a perfect mix for ambitious boys.

At St. Andrew’s College, business courses are offered by the Department of History and Social Sciences. This is due to the fact that we believe that the skills of research, writing and critical thinking and knowledge of the history and global issues are major components in preparing for life in business management. Of course, these courses focus on marketing, thematic studies, accounting, entrepreneurship, public presentations and business management.

Our Leadership programme gives focus and vitality to our business programme. We are very proud of this unique approach to business research in secondary school.

Throughout the year St. Andrew’s students participate in various scientific competitions, both regionally and nationally, including:
